Cytology is a safe, painless, and accurate process when wishing to mate your female dog. In order to confirm that your female dog is at the most fertile stage to mate we will take a vaginal swab normally starting from day 7-8 of your dogs season minimum, depending of your dogs seasons. We then put this on a slide with some blue dye and put that under the slide under the microscope to see the cells and where they are in their oestrus cycle and when she has ovulated.
